As a general rule and at the minimum, a prospective migrant has to have the following documents to be able to work legally abroad: passport that has at least 6 months of validity, diploma or training certificates that match the qualifications of employment vacancies abroad, an overseas employment certificate and a working visa. Fitness to work or passing medical examinations is also needed. Other requirements will depend on the laws of the country and the nature of the employment.
Depending on the national’s laws, the application or recruitment process can be highly regulated by government or can be through private agencies such as recruitment or placement agency or overseas employment promoter.
